It looks like some Democrats seem to think Gustav is a blessing from God... or a curse from God... not sure, I guess you'll need to ask them...
Below is Michael Moore... who says "Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven."
Below is video of DNC Chair Fowler and US Rep. from SC Spratt on an airplane talking about the issue... and how God must be on their side...
I know Democrats are trying their best to show how much faith they have, but this is taking it a bit far...

Obama needs to put a stop to this kind of talk.
GWB is certainly the worse President of my lifetime. But to hope for death and destruction to be fosted on innocent people in order to win an election boggles the mind.

Yep. It is amazing, and I'm sure they would like to say they are being taken out of context. The beauty of video is, we can watch it and see what people really think for ourselves. And it's not like this is a low guy on the totem pole. This is the CHAIR of the party talking to a SITTING member of congress. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

You commented on my post, so I wanted to make sure you saw that I had responded, by posting my response here as well:
No one takes Hagee seriously? Then why did John McCain bend over backwards to get his endorsement. Why has he sold hundreds of thousands if not millions of books, and the same amount of people watch and participate in his ministries if they don't take him seriously.
And Focus on the Family - that wasn't a joke, that guy retracted his statement because his words went beyond the evangelical circle. People don't take them seriously? People were going to sit out this election because Dr. Dobson refused to anoint John McCain. Again Hundreds of Thousands of people if not millions of people have bought Dobson's books, or those with the focus seal of approval along with listening to his radio programming.
So to some how try and dismiss those very public statements and appeals and focus on the private conversation of two men requires the same hubris already evident in the Republican party about owning patriotism and God and an incredible amount of denial.
MM... You are correct, Hagee's opinion WAS courted, however, I doubt most of America was waiting to see what he said prior to voting. I didn't mean to imply that the Focus on the Family comment was in jest. My point was that telling people to pray for lots of rain over an uncovered field is different than rejoicing over a CAT-4/5 hurricane slamming into New Orleans at the same time that the GOP convention is set to begin. That's all my comments were meant to say.

MM, Not only that, I think private comments about a CAT 4/5 hurricane tells us more than any public news release the party might put out... ESPECIALLY considering the fact that Michael Moore said essentially the same thing on MSNBC...
I would respectfully disagree, these statements while in poor taste, much like Mr. Moore's indicate more a morose sense of Irony than anything else, especially in light of the Focus Request which wasn't just for rain, but a flood, and the remarks by Hagee
